Last night when I was coming home from work, I was at "the stoplight" in the town we live in. I hear a dinging noise. I though maybe it was the gas light because I have a habit of driving it until the light comes on. I looked down it and it was a light indicating that the temperature was high.
The bar I work at part-time is about a block and a half from the stoplight. Our house is like six blocks away. So I drove to the bar. By the time I got there, there was a ton of steam coming from under the hood. It was bad. Real bad.
I went inside and the bartender was out back taking the trash out. She came in the front door where my car was parked and said, "Hey Steph is that your car smoking?" To which I replied, "Yep." She come back with, "Uh, want a drink?" To which I say, "Yes, please."
So I called the hubby. He came
Today Matt is taking off work early and hauling the silver bullet to our buddies shop. Then he's going to come get me and we'll pick it up. I'm hoping things go that smooth. This is just one more reason I love my hubby. I don't have to deal with it. He's going to take care of it all for me.

Hope it's not to pricey!! And good thing you know someone who works on cars that you can trust.
Ugh, at least you are safe and got a drink! Good luck!
Ugh! So glad the hubbs rescued you :)
Hopefully it will be the water pump so its not to expensive for you!
Eeeeek! As long as it's a mechanic your husband trusts!
G'luck! Hope it's only a water pump!
I use to have the exact same car except in black. Hope it's not too expensive.

No fun at all! Hope it all works out okay for you!

I'm not laughing at you, I swear! But "the stoplight", the whole rescuing bit, and HAVING to stay at the bar and wait was hilarious! Hope it's nothing serious and can be fixed easily (read: cheaply).
Ugh! Frustrating.
My old coworker had a silver nissan maxima that they called the Silver Bullet. LOL
