Falling Apart

The first 6 months of this pregnancy have been a breeze.  I was not sick one time.  Yeah, my boobs hurt a little and rolling over got a little harder each day.  But, for the most part, things were good.

The last week I've started falling apart.

* My back hurts constantly.

* I wake up with leg cramps.

* I can't breath that well.

* I found a stretch mark.

* Heartburn (It's easily defeated with Tums though.  So, not too annoying.)

* My feet hurt.

And last but not least,

* I have to go back for round 2 of glucose testing tomorrow. My blood sugar was high.

If I have to give up cookies and cereal, things will go down hill quick.

But it will all be worth it when we get to hold our sweet baby girl.

Concerts, hangovers, and fooseball

This weekend there was a concert at the fairgrounds that is very close to our house. Friday night there was a tractor pull. Matt and one of his buddies went to that. I stayed home with the pups and did some homework. I'm not really a tractor pull kind of gal. They are loud as hell and there are too many rednecks at them for my taste.

Saturday morning I woke up early and made some beer cheese soup. (and meatballs) Lucky for you a took pictures as I was making it and will do a recipe post on that later this week. Then I made Matt and his friend breakfast and also snuck in a nap.

Matt had brought our camper to the fairgrounds Thursday evening so that we could stay there Saturday night. When it comes to going somewhere, Matt always likes to be the first to get there or at least be half an hour early. The concert was supposed to start at 5. We got to the camper around 3.

We set up the awning and the table outside and got crockpots all set up. And then started drinking beer. The concert was pretty good. The first guy was the best. I'd never heard of him before but his name is Logan Mize. Kinda country. Kinda rock.

Gretchen Wilson was the last person to perform. Didn't like her before. Still don't like her. (We got our tickets for free or else I'm not so sure that I would have went to the concert. I might have stayed at the camper.) Basically, we drank a lot of beer and had a good time. And I got to see a lot of friends that I hadn't seen in awhile.

Yesterday, we didn't feel so well and mostly just laid around and ate greasy food.

Something else I need to bitch complain about, football. It's barely even started and already pissing me off. First of all, here in Illinois, most people are Bears fans. The Bears have sucked, I believe (hell I really don't know) as long as the Cubs have. This year apparently, they don't suck as much. Now, everyone and their brother is a Bears fan. Facbeook status all the time about Bears this and Bears that. Who cares?

Also, on Sunday nights on CBS I like to watch the Amazing Race and Undercover Boss. Because the fooseball games are never over on time, my shows never start on time. Hello CBS, can't you just move these shows to a night were fooseball isn't on. Like Tuesdays or something. The fooseball game was on at least an hour late last night. That means I didn't get done watching my shows until 10 p.m. I like to go to bed early on Sundays.

Happy Monday!

Taking Notes (Part 2)

When this semester started, I was contacted by the Student Accommodations Office to take notes for a boy in my class. I wrote about that here.

Well turns out somethings are too good to be true. First of all, I thought by doing this I thought I would be able to help someone who wanted and needed it. This boy is not famous as one of my commenters suggested. He can't hear very well. Well the little turd has only showed up to class twice, the first week and the third week.

The class is a breeze. We go in and the teacher talks for about 30 minutes and then gives us an assignment and then we get the rest of the class (about an hour and a half) to work on it. Since the little stinker never shows up, I scan my notes and the handout with the assignment on it every week and email it to him. (I would say that's going above and beyond.) He never emails me back to say if he got it, if he's dropping the class, or whatever is going on.

I emailed the guy at the Student Accommodations office last week and asked him if this kid was still in my class. I explained that he never comes and I just wanted to know if I still needed to be sending him the notes. He said he would find out at the mid-term from our teacher and let me know.

I then asked him when I would be seeing some money. Then the guy turns into a complete asswipe and gets an attitude with me. He said that I was given time sheets when I meet with his secretary. Uh no asswipe, I never met with your secretary, she mailed me some payroll information to fill out and then about a month after the class started I finally got the carbon paper they had promised me.

I think this guy thinks I'm a 19 year old punk (no offense). I work, go to school, and play wife. I'm not an idiot. I have had plenty of jobs. I know the drill. Most jobs inform you of stuff like that.

Yesterday he had the balls to tell me I needed to drive half an hour to the main campus TODAY. Ummm no. I had class this morning, class this evening, and I have to work 8 hours today. Then this morning he sends me another shitty email saying if I still want to take notes I need to meet up with him. Excuse me buddy, I'm trying to help someone out, no need to have an attitude.

I want to be able to help someone (who is not going to take advantage of it) and the added perk of maybe being paid someday would be nice but I feel like telling this guy to shove it. I don't have the time or the energy for him to drag me down.

Sick

I am sick.
My head hurts.
My belly hurts.
My throat hurts.
I keep sneezing.
I can't breathe through my nose.
I haven't been sick for two years.
It was when Matt was in Iraq.
I don't have time to be sick now.
I'm at work.
I have class tonight, tomorrow night, and Thursday morning.
I wonder if anyone will notice if I close my eyes and take a nap on my desk?
Is it Friday yet?
I'll have time to be sick then.

Never again

We had our house warming party this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. A friend of mine made some awesome cakes for us. I don't have my camera with me but I'll put the pics on here later if you would like. She made one that was an anniversary cake and one that looked like our house. I decorated the garage in a red, white, and blue theme, as the party was a welcome home party for Matt too.

Saturday it rained all day. Which wasn't a big deal because there weren't too many people there so we stayed in the garage most of the time. A few (supervised) kids were there but mostly adult relatives and friends. Sunday morning I had to clean the house before more people came over. It was awesome and I was very happy to do so. (sarcasm)

Sunday there were a ton of people over. A few times I started to feel a little anxiety. I don't really like groups of people or being anywhere near the center of attention. Early in the day two families on Matt's showed up and between the two families there were 9 rug rats kids. And shortly after two more boy kids came over with their mom and dad. So that's 11 kids in our newly carpeted house, unsupervised. I never once saw their moms' or dads' go inside and check on them. They quickly found Matt's 1980's Nintendo in his play room and made themselves right at home. This is also the room with his prized antique toy tractors.

I would like to say that it was a great time but it wasn't. It was nice to see our friends and it was ok after I decided just to drink enough that I didn't care about the mess. I swear all I did before I had a buzz from the booze was clean up messes. I mean come on, we had two big trash cans available for use. How hard is it to throw a damn paper plate away? Seriously. And wipe your feet. We have plenty of rugs.

Sunday night before I passed out went to sleep Matt discovered that one of his prized toy tractor accessories was broke in half. Let me just tell you he was pissed off not happy. We might not be having kids after this weekend. I mean the little shits trashed our house.

I owe a big thank you to mom and dad for helping cook and clean all weekend. Most of the mud is out of our brand new carpet. But I was too hungover tired yesterday to vacuum all the carpets and clean the hardwood floors. I hate when the house is not clean. Especially since our stuff is still nice. So tonight I'll get our house back up to our standards before I go to school.

So, moral of the story... never again will we be invited all our relatives and their 57 kids over to our house. The only time we will be invited people over is if they stay in the garage or on the deck and watch their kids.

Don't forget that my 100th post is coming and you can ask me whatever you want and I will answer it in that post. Ask as many as you want. I have two questions now so if you don't ask more it will be a pretty lame post.
