I'm the mother of a beautiful baby girl. I'm a wife to my best friend who also happens to be in the National Guard. I'm a survivor of having my heart deployed. I'm puppy momma. I'm a 30 something college student, a sister, a daughter, and a friend.
I was tagged by one of my most favoritest bloggers to do this wonderfully awesome Q & A type post. Thanks, Mimi!

11 Random Things about myself:
1. First of all, I'm not going to follow the rules.

3. My baby brother moved out of my parent's house this past weekend. He's 25.
4. I think my dad is depressed over him leaving.

9. My favorite band broke up. The new band that most of them started sucks.
10. I've been hot all winter. I run my fan in my office while everyone else runs a space heater. I'd like to unplug them.

11. Would you go to the moon if given the opportunity? Na, there's nothing there to do.

And I'm going to link up with Talk to Us Tuesday today. Happy Tuesday!
Forever ago, I was tagged by the Annoyed Army Wife to answer some questions.
So here we go:
1. What side of the bed do you sleep on? I always sleep on the side farthest away from the door.
2. Do you have an alarm clock that you can dock your iPod in? If so, which one and do you like it? No I have a $10 alarm clock that I only use to look at the time. I use my cell phone's alarm for my alarm clock.
3. Should I get an iPhone when my contract expires on my current phone (in less than a week)? I wouldn't because I'm at a computer all day. I'm not really into all those fancy gadgets either. But if you think it would make your life more enjoyable or add some convenience, then go for it.
4. What's your favorite cookie to bake, if you bake? I haven't made cookies in forever. But I love no-bake cookies but I guess that probably doesn't count as baking.
5. What's the most annoying noise in the world to you? Slurping, hands down.
6. Who was the first person to break your heart? Oh, some asshat.
7. What time do you wake up in the morning usually? 6:20 a.m. and then snooze until around 6:35.
8. What time do you normally go to bed? I go to bed around 9 p.m. and usually fall asleep around 10 p.m. Lame I know.
3. Pass it along to blogs you've recently discovered and enjoyed.
4. Leave the recipients a note telling them about the award.
So let's see.... 7 things about myself....
1. This semester is boring the crap out of me. I have a 98% in one class and a 96% in the other.
2. I'm not looking forward to Christmas this year. It's mostly the financial aspect of it that I hate. It's just a lot of money to spend on stuff that people don't really appreciate that much anyway.
3. In the last 12 years, every job I've had I've worked for at least 5 years or I'm still working at.
4. I like to look up the most random stuff online. Yesterday, I was looking at personalized ornaments for the pups.
5. Eyebrows are the first thing I notice on a person.
6. Sometimes I call Matt "shug" like Nancy Gribble says on King of the Hill. The pups are "lil shugs".
7. Last night I made stuffed green peppers for supper. They are Matt's favorite.
by two people to answer some questions. I swear someone tagged me in a wedding questionnaire recently too but for the life of me I can't remember who, when, or where.
1. If you could have one wish granted what would it be? I'm actually pretty content. I'd like for there to be more hours in the day sometimes. And I'd like for my family and pups to live forever.
2. Do people in your real life know about your blog or do you keep it to yourself? A few people know about my blog. My mom (hi mom!) and my husband read it whenever I post. My sister just recently found my blog too.
3. If you could change one part of your body or appearance what would it be?
I'd just like to lose weight but I'm working on that.
4. If you became a billionaire would you quit your current job?
I probably would quit my office job so that I could focus on school. I keep bar tending once a week or so.
5. What do you like best about your body or appearance?
My eyes. The are bright blue. And my eyelashes are super long.
6. What is something that people might be surprised to know about you? I have nothing really surprising or exciting that I can think of. Some of you may not know that I was a college drop out because I loved to party. Now I'm going back to school and have a 4.0.
7. If you were forced to give up one of your 5 senses which one would it be?
Probably smell because a good smelling food can make me hungry and a bad smell makes me sick to my stomach.
8. If you could have any superhuman power what would it be?
The ability to read minds. Then I would never have to guess what people are thinking.
I was also tagged by Nicole @ Sailor's Sweetheart. Nicole and I are fairly new to each other's blogs but I love reading her blog.
1. What is one piece of advice you've been given, mantra, etc. that you try to live by? For example, mine is "Everything happens for a reason." I believe that everything happens for a reason too. One saying that annoys the shit out of me is, "It is what it is." Obviously. If it were not what it is, it would be something else.
2. What is your idea of a perfect day? Sleeping in, waking up to the house clean, lounging around with Matt, and playing with the pups.
3. If you could eat one food, and only one, for the rest of your life, what would it be? If I wouldn't have to worry about gaining weight, I'd say chicken alfredo. If not I'd probably go with grilled chicken.
4. What is your favorite movie and why? Sweet Home Alabama. I just love the story line and that they end up together in the end. I also love all the Cheech and Chong movies because they are hilariously stupid.
5. If you could tell one person who is no longer in your life (for whatever reason) something, what would it be? I would tell my friend that died way too young that I have not and will not forget about him.
6. If you we're going to be stranded on an island and could only bring 3 books with you, what books would they be and why? Assuming I'd have my guitar, I'd bring the three biggest books of guitar tab I could find. Definitely some Led Zeppelin tab.
7. What clothes are you most comfortable, feel most yourself, in? Jeans and a tee, sweats, dressed up, etc. Hands down, jeans and a baggy t-shirt. Sexy huh?
8. What do you think is most important thing in a relationship? Communication. You might not always agree on something but if you can talk about it that helps.
Thanks ladies! I'm not going to tag anyone because I've seen this floating around a lot.
I really don't have anything new or exciting to talk about. Minus that we went camping over the weekend and had a great time. The boys absolutely love camping.
I had a few more questions to answer so, here you go.
When you were little what did you want to be when you "grew up"? I think I wanted to be a teacher. But really, don't most kids?
How did you know he was "the one"? I knew Matt was the one when I told him everything about me and he didn't turn and run. And maybe something to do with the way my stomach felt the first time we kissed.
Do you believe in regrets? Or just learning experiences? I do regret some things but once it's done, it's done so I try not to worry about it and just learn from it.
What would you do with a million dollars?A lot.First, I would do whatever it takes to get pregnant. Then, I would pay off our house and truck. Then we would build a house (not real big) in the country with lots of land so that no one could live close to us.I would want an underground pool with a slide and a hot tub for the winter time, a green room for my plants, granite countertops and nice cabinets, and the biggest walk-in closet with lots of clothes, shoes, and purses. We’d have a huge fenced in yard, so the boys would have plenty of room to run.
Then, I would pay off my mom and dad’s house so, mom would quit working and watching my kid(s). I’d drive to Alaska like I want to.I’d keep driving my car, until it fell apart.I probably would work less so I could finish school quicker. As in, I’d work Tuesday through Thursday from 9-1.I’d buy Matt a tractor and a four-wheeler so he’d stop talking about getting one all the time and if we were living in the country we would probably need one.I’d probably get a rabbit, some turkeys, a baby goat, and some ponies.
I would donate some of it to the VFW in our town because they are broke as a joke. I’d donate some money to the animal shelter, too and maybe adopt some animals, no cats though. I would probably buy a bigger camper but keep ours. Then, I’d save the rest.
Now, I really wish I had a million dollars. *Sigh*
What is your dream job? I want to be an accountant. So I suppose that’s my dream job.I love numbers.
What is your favorite meal?Currently my favorite thing to make is zucchini casserole.I love zucchini in the summer time. There is a ton of different ways to make it too.
Where is somewhere you would like to go, but haven't been before?I want to go to Alaska, during the summer. Not only do I want to go there but I want to drive there. The hubby said “no way.”
Where is your favorite vacation place?Anywhere camping, I don’t really have to go far to consider it “vacation.”
Who would you most like to meet (dead or alive)? If I could “meet” anyone I would want to meet my friend that died 11 years ago.I like to be able to party with him and our other friends just one more time, listen to him play guitar again, and tell him that I will never forget about him.
What is your favorite food (or drink)? My favorite food is pasta, any kind really. My favorite drinks of the non-alcoholic variation are coffee and water.Sugar free Red bull and Grey Goose and Bud 55 are my go-to alcoholic beverages.
If money weren't an issue, where would you go for a dream vacay? If we didn’t have to worry about money, I would like to go on vacation for a couple months and just road trip around The States with our camper and our dogs.
What would you do with a million dollars? I started writing and writing about this so I'm going to dedicate a whole post to it.
What do you love and hate most about being a milspouse?I love the sense of pride it gives me.I love that I was strong while my husband was deployed and became a better person because of it.I hate the hurry up and wait and the fact that stuff is always changing.
How did you and your hubby meet and fall in love? We’ve been friends since the 90’s.Literally.We ran around with the same group of people. We started "talking" after we had been friends 10 years and I was love with him before I ever kissed him.He was at Ft. Lewis when we started “talking.”
How many children do you want to have? Preferably I would like to have twins. One boy and one girl.
What are the best and worst things about being married???I think the worst part is that I’m not as independent anymore.I used to love how independent I was.The best part is knowing that it is forever, and that no matter what, I will always have Matt.
Where's one place that you'd love to travel to but haven't been? Besides Alaska, I would love to go somewhere in the Caribbean and drink fruity drinks with umbrellas on the beach.
What are the websites you MUST check every day?During the week, besides blogger, I check my facebook, my school website, and our bank website. On the weekends, I don’t write blogs, only read them, and check my facebook.
What is one thing you have done (young or old) that you wish you could take back or change? I can’t really think of anything.Everything that I have done has made me who I am today.
What is the grossest habit you have?Hmmm... I'm a picker. Pimples, scabs, ect. I need to quit.
If you had all the money in the world what would you change? (Interpret how you wish)I would get rid of a crappy music.I would pay all the no talent assclowns to quit and burn all their music.
Who was the first boy you kissed? Some douchebag, who is now a rodeo clown.
One fun memory from your wedding...Instead of blowing bubbles or throwing rice when we walked out of the church, everyone took a shot.
Thanks for all your questions! I had fun answering them.
