Tuesday, Mom and I took Aubri on her first shopping trip. If you want to shop at somewhere other than Wal-Mart, JCPenney's, or Kohl's around here, you have to drive an hour. You can either go north, northwest, east, or west. We chose northwest. Not that that is relevant to this story.
Mom came over and helped me get Aubri ready and then we hit the road. She slept most of the way there. We went to Joann's fabrics to get some stuff for mom to make for her
etsy shop. I refrained from buying any fabric to make Aubri any more blankets. She has more than enough
blankets. I did buy some panels for mom to make her some more cloth books though.
She was very well behaved in the store. She enjoyed her shopping cart ride and no one touched her.
Then we loaded up and went to Target. Now, you are probably not going to believe this but I haven't been to a Target in at least 15 years. The closest ones are an hour away. I found some clothes on clearance that she didn't really need. I also found a step for the camper that I've been looking for.
Then we went to Steak -n- Shake and ate lunch. Aubria had her lunch and of course mine was cold by the time she was finished. Oh well. A meth head said she was cute and asked to borrow her for the weekend. Uh, no. And the waitress touched her but besides that, it was good.
She didn't throw one fit on our shopping trip. She slept most of the way home.
Tuesday night I put her to bed around 10 p.m. She didn't wake up until 4 a.m. She usually wakes up around 1 or 2 and then again around 4 or 5. Maybe we need to go shopping everyday. She was probably dreaming about shopping cart rides.
Yesterday, we tried out some of her toys that she hasn't tried. She's already tried out her swing and her bouncy seat. Both of those she loves most of the time.
We tried out her play mat. Vinnie was all kinds of upset that none of the toys on it were for him.
And we tried out her bumbo seat. She loved it. She looked around at everything.
She also has a new friend named Dolly.
Hope you are all having a great week!
