Ahhhh....

I just woke up from a nap... at 4:30 in the afternoon West Coast time.... on a weekday. Vacation is good. I made it here. With only one minor event to report. I'll get back to that.

My husband is sexy as always and it is great to be with him finally. He had to go to formation and then him and his buddy are going to change his oil real quick so I'm at the hotel blogging. I have only not check my blog for less than 48 hours and have 25 blogs to read.

Today we moved all of Matt's stuff out of his room at the barrack into his car. Sounds easy right? Well he lives on the third floor and there is no elevator or air conditioning. And its hot. (Not as hot as home though cause there is no humidity here and everyone is bitching about how hot it is... get over it. Come to the Midwest and you will know what hot is.) Anyways... we mad about 37 trips up and down the stairs carrying all his stuff. I was a trooper though.

We leave tomorrow on our journey. We will be driving across Washington, through Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, down Iowa, through Missouri, and then to our house. Matt is so excited to see our house and I'm excited for him to see it.

Now back to my story from the airport. I flew Southwest. And you know how you are assigned a number? I was B31. You line up according to number. 1-30 on one side and 31 through 60 on the other. Well I had to slam down a Bloody Mary before I got to on the plane but I could see my gate from the bar. So when the B's lined up I went over and got in line. All the other B's were pretty much in line so I stepped close to the pole on the 31-60 side. Then this twit with dark roots in her bleach blond hair that looked like she belonged a club rather than the airport starts talking crap to the old dude next to her. She said something to the effect of how she hated people butting in line. She kept talking crap and I'm not usually one to say anything (when I'm sober) but I turned around and asked her if she would like to go in front of me. She just looked at me and laughed and said no. I told her I was 31 and asked.what was her number. I could see it said 35. Obviously 31 comes before 35. She didn't say anything so I turned around and she proceeded to talk more crap. I just ignored her. Later she got up on the plane to go to the bathroom and I rolled my eyes at her. I hope her luggage got lost.

Oh maybe it is hot here. I just saw on the news its 103. I've been napping so I wouldn't know.

Tomorrow :)

Tomorrow I leave to fly to Seattle and get my heart back.... for good this time. We will be leaving Seattle on Thursday and driving to southern Illinois and hope to make it back by Saturday night. It is a loooooooong drive that I have made three times before. It will be an adventure and I love adventures. We will have approximately 34 hours in a car together to catch up and enjoy each others company.

When we get back we will be moving in OUR house... together. It will be a bit of a change for both of us but a good change.

Words cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to finally get my man back and be done with this Army business. Technically I'll still be an Army wife cause Matt will be joining the Reserves for 2 years.

I probably won't be blogging much in the next week or so. Maybe a few pictures from the trip.

Hope you all have a good week!!!

Happy Birthday Ozzy!!!

Tomorrow my little boy turns 7. Ozzy is one of the best friends I have ever had. (Its ok if you think I'm nuts cause I probably am a little.) To read a paper I wrote about Ozzy for school click here.

Tomorrow Ozzy will be showered with hugs and kisses. We may just have to take a nap together. And he will get to go to our new house again and chase some birds.

I'm going to get Ozzy a new toy, some bones, and a new bed for our new house.

Happy Birthday Oz!!!

They don't make staplers how they used to.

I have taken on Mama Kat's writing assignment again this week.

I have chosen to write about "They don't make ____ how they used to."

They really don't make staplers how they used to. I got a new stapler at work about a month ago and I haven't had to cuss at it or throw it in the trash yet. Before this stapler I had three staplers. One worked almost every time with three or less pages. Another worked about every other time on three to seven pages. It would also jam up multiple times a day, leading me to cuss and threaten it. Then I also have a heavy duty electric stapler that works every time for 20 or more pages. But the problem with the electric one is that it is across the room and I don't know how to put more staples in it.

Staplers these days are made from plastic. Remember the old metal staplers that worked??? I do vaguely. I think I was in third grade.

This is my new stapler. It says that it is a one finger stapler and will staple up to twenty sheets of paper. We will see. I'm not really a big fan of the green. I'd rather it be pink or purple. But so far it hasn't let me down.

Well...

I've sorta had bloggers block this week. I don't have any exciting stories to tell or any major drama to whine about.

This time next week I will be on my way to Seattle. Its somewhat surreal that we will actually be able to be together... for more than a week. I have a lot to do in the next week so I'm going to be a busy girl until then. I had my eyebrows waxed today and my hair colored last night so that's a start. I still have to take the rest of my clothes over to our house and the rest of the stuff I haven't moved yet. Stuff I use.

I have not bought any groceries for our house. No salt. No pepper. No sugar. No pop tarts. Nothing. I can only imagine how much it is going to be to buy everything we will need just to start with.

Everything is pretty much done at the house. I finally decided on curtains for the living room and they are up now. I had to get a different rug for the living room too because the one I got was too small. But it looks beautiful in my office. Here is a picture of the living. Sorry about the craptastic picture from my cell phone.

I have three more shifts left at my crap job. I will be the happiest girl in the world to have my husband home and not have to work there anymore.

From what I understand with this GI bill stuff, I am going to have to take 4 classes a semester in order for us to get the full benefits. I'm a little concerned about working full time, going to school full time, and possibly having a baby. This seems like a lot. But I have been working two jobs for about four years and I started school this year.

25 Reasons why I love my husband more than anything

He is my hero.
He loves me for me.
He thinks I’m beautiful.
He tells me how proud of me he is.
He knows about stuff that I have no idea about.
He makes me happy just be being there.
He works hard for us.
He is goofy and I think it’s cute.
He tells me when I do a good job.
He knows more about me than ANYONE.
He makes me a better person
He thinks I’m sexy even though I’ve gained probably 20 pounds since we been together.
He tells me I’m his everything.
He has sent me tons of flowers just because.
He is everything to me.
He does not get jealous.
He appreciates me.
He is strong – mentally, physically, and emotionally.
He is mine… all mine.
He loves Ozzy and Ozzy loves him.
He wants to be with me forever.
He misses me.
He wants me to have his babies.
He makes me laugh and smile.
We are the best thing we’ve ever had.

I want my car back

Awhile ago my brother backed into my sexy little sporty car with his big tough redneck truck. Not really a big deal to me because I knew he would pay for it and their was no need to get mad. He was pretty upset, probably mostly about the money because he is a tightwad. Its been so long ago that I can't actually remember when it was. I'm going to go with, June 21st. I know it was a Sunday and I know it was at least three weeks ago. Yeah I think it was the 21st.

To see a picture of my car stuck in the snow click here.

Anyway, my car was still drivable and I called the body shop guy the next day and he came to my work and looked at it. He said bring it in the following Monday and it would take him about a week to fix it.

So for the first week I got to drive my brothers big sports car bashing redneck truck. Let me tell you, I felt tough. Real tough. He used to have a loud muffler on it but after being stopped by Johnny Law one too many times he took that off. If it still had the loud muffler I would have felt invisible. His truck has a cd player, air conditioning and an auxiliary cord so I could plug my iPod into it.

I called the body shop that Thursday which would have been the Thursday before 4th of July to see when it would be ready on Friday. To my surprise the owner said that they were closed on Friday and he had a little blue Ford car I could drive. Ford. Ehhh.

I went there to get the Ford Contour and it basically a grandma car with a spoiler. The gas tank was on empty and the only form of music playing devices it had was a cassette tape player and a radio. Boooh!!! Oh and the speakers on the passengers side didn't work at all. So I drove that for about a week until I got a call from the body shop guy. He need the grocery getter back for a lady that had some kids to haul around. He says he has a Ford Ranger for me to drive and he will drop it off at my work and take the car.

So that day I walked out of work and into the parking lot thinking that I hope I can figure out which truck it was. It wasn't hard to spot at all. It was the one that said "Blah Blah Auto Body" all over the darn thing. So I have been a mobile billboard now for about a week. At least this truck has a cd player in it and decent speakers but I mean come on. The gas tank of this one was on empty too. The owner of the auto body shop is a hunter and there are shotgun shells in the console. I doubt that its is legal for me to be driving around with shotgun shells. And it smells funny. Like hay or dirt or deer or hunting dogs. I can't quite pinpoint it but I can definitely smell it.

Yesterday was supposed to be the day I got my car back. Now today is supposed to be the day I get my sexy little fast loud music playing car back. I'm taking this truck back at 4:30 and I'm not leaving without my 30 miles to the gallon car.

I cannot wait to get it in and find something good on my iPod, crank up the volume, and rip through the gears of my manual transmission like some kind of mad woman. So if you see a little grey Eclipse coming down the road between 4:30 and 5:00 tonight, move over.

CCR concert

This morning I had a dream that I was at a Cross Canadian Ragweed concert. (My favorite band, ever. Little country. Little rock.) I was having a good time. I thought the music was extremely loud though. I heard them play three songs.

Turns out song #1 was my alarm going off, song #2 was my husband calling to see why I wasn't at work, and song #3 was my mom doing the same.

I wasn't at a concert. I was late for work. Booh!

Navy boys and chain length

I didn't get to go shopping this weekend. My husband was well behaved. I would rather him behave than have nice purses anyway.

I had a busy weekend and once again I am glad it is Monday. I worked Friday and Saturday night. Friday night I went out for a little while after work.

See, my seester went to Hawaii on vacation with some of her friends in March. She met a boy. My sister has never been one to need or have a man. This boy is in the Navy and stationed at Pearl Harbor. He came to the middle of the cornfields to see her this weekend. So Friday night I met up with them. Seester never brought this boy over to meet the family and I'm pretty sure mom is upset about that.

He seems like a nice guy and I'm glad I got to meet him. But if he breaks my seester's heart. I'll be making a trip to Hawaii. He did say he doesn't want to get married... ever. I thought all military guys were all about getting married.

Moving on....

Mommy and Daddy put up a chain length fence in our yard this weekend so now Ozzy can start going to the house with me. He is going to love it.

Everything is falling together nicely at our house. We still have a few things to buy but I want to wait till Matt gets home so he can help pick some stuff out. I'll make sure to post some new pictures soon.

Two weeks from tomorrow I get to go to Seattle, possibly for the last time. (Matt will have to sign out in September, not sure if I'll go with him.) It's bittersweet. Sometimes I love it there and other times I hate it there. I will not miss having to "visit" him there. But I will miss the fact that there is always something to do.

Anywho... have a good Monday!!!

The plan

I had a great idea the other day. Instead of bitching when my husband is less than perfect on the weekends, I'm going to start shopping... for me.

I am having a vision of making a trip to the Coach store this weekend.

Can't wait to show you all my new purse on Monday.

The Smart Me

I just got home from school. The class I'm taking this summer is Practical Software Applications. Tonight we had a project in Excel due. It could be anything we wanted. I did mine on... well I'm not gonna bore you with that. Its work related and unless you know anything about grain bins, cubic feet, and density it wouldn't make any sense. At work we already had an Excel spreadsheet for inventory of grain bins that basically only multiplied two numbers.

Well I made a new way better spreadsheet. One of my formulas was so long that I couldn't complete it in Excel 2003. I had to finish it up on my laptop with 2007. I'm usually pretty modest but my project blew everyone else's in class away. My teacher said it was "excellent" more than once. No one else got an "excellent."

The old dude in my class said that I should write spreadsheets for people in my share time. Sign me up. How the heck would I start doing that though?

I guess after not being in school for 9 years, I forgot that I am smart. Until I started going back to school, I really didn't have to exercise my brain too much. I love it. Granted, I'll be glad when actually have a degree. Someday I would love to work from home. I just don't know where to start.

I'm a winner

Holy crap!!! I won a giveaway. Actually, the only giveaway I have ever entered. This is amazing to me. I always say that I say that I couldn't win bingo if I was the only one that was playing. Pretty sure I wasn't the only one that entered either.

I won a book from Random Musings of my Life. She is a super cool chick that loves shoes, bargains, shopping, and shopping for shoes that are a bargain. Oh and she is Canadian and I think Canadians rock!!!

So go over to her page and check her out. She will be giving away more books in the near future.

Thanks for making my day!!!

Gotta love Mondays

I know this may be a shocker but I’m glad the weekend is over. This weekend was horrible. I’m not one to air my dirty laundry so I’ll leave out the details but give you the gist of what happened.

First of all, this may be a surprise because I have led you all to believe that my husband is perfect but he is not and neither am I.

I pass my weekends by working a job that I hate for pocket change. He likes to pass the time by hanging out with his buddies, drinking, scratching himself, and only god knows what else. This usually leads to me bitching about what he is doing. And that usually leads to us arguing.

So this weekend I spent working, crying, arguing, or all three at the same time. This has left me drained mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I was thinking this morning about all the holidays we have missed out on during the three years we have been together. (Matt and I were friends for 10 years before we started dating so its not like I jumped into a relationship with someone in the military that I didn’t know, I’ll write about that someday.)

I’m glad to be back in my cubicle where people will leave me alone and I can maybe pull myself back together.

I'll be more happy when _______

I'm taking on Mama Kat's writing assignment this week. I haven chosen to write about "I'll be happy when____"

Well for the most part I am happy. I have a wonderful, devoted, loving, sexy husband. I have a caring, entertaining family. I have a little doggy that loves me more than life itself.

I will be happier when the Army finally lets go of my husband. I will be happier when our journey from Seattle to Illinois in his car with no air conditioner is complete. I will be even happier when he gets to see the home we have bought for the first time. I will be even happier when we get to ummmm... lay in our bed together for the first time.

I will be even happier when I can become the mother of his child. And I know this will make my husband and my mom reallllllly happy.

I will be happier when we have a fenced in yard for my little doggy to play in. I would be happier if he could play in the yard now but the neighbors big dogs would probably eat him and that would make me far from happy.

I will be happier when there are no idiots in the world.

I would be happier if crappy music were banned and radio stations weren't filled with garbage.

I will be happier when people learn to watch where they are going, mind their own business, and have a little common courtesy.

I will be happier when our house is paid for and all our other bills.

I will definitely be happier when I get to quit the crap job and can focus more on school.

I will be happier when I figure out how to link stuff in my blog, obviously I don't know how to do that.

Most of all, I will be happier in 27 days when I get to be with my husband again... forever.
